I’m saddened to hear about the recent passing of Rob Hirst, founder and longtime drummer of Midnight Oil. They remain one of the best live shows I’ve ever experienced. Redneck Wonderland is one of my all-time favorites.
My next hot chocolate experience at YYC Hot Chocolate Fest was Apprentice Cafe’s Dubai Hot Chocolate Affogato. It was delicious, but not quite as good as their award-winning Ferrero Rocher from last year. Still, a treat worth trying though…
As part of our puppy’s training class, we were asked to teach her a trick she could showcase at graduation. My daughter has been working with her on the “Bang Bang” play-dead trick, and it’s hard to believe how far she’s come after just a couple of hours of practice.
Overacting much?

My first hot chocolate at this year’s YYC Hot Chocolate Fest —the White Chocolate Saffron Silk from Qamaria Yemeni Coffee NW. It was great, and the cafe’s decor brought back many wonderful memories from my trip to Yemen 21 years ago. ☕
I need to quit doomscrolling. Trump’s farcical Prayer Breakfast rant—grievance and victimhood on full display—was triggering. It echoed my father-in-law’s post-COVID pulpit tantrum, except he used it to trash his own family. Why does the church keep empowering ungodly, unqualified, shitty people?
I had an amazing time with my kiddos at the Bad Religion/The Offspring concert last night. Both bands absolutely rocked it and proved they haven’t lost a step. 🎵🎸
You can find some of my videos on Loops - Bad Religion: American Jesus + The Offspring: Self Esteem. Enjoy!
Currently listening to: The Gray Race by Bad Religion 📻🎸🎵
Another incredible band I can’t wait to see this Sunday! 🎫 #Music
